Tennessee Democrats Reject the Voters? Choice

Democrat voters in Tennessee sent a message to party leadership by choosing Mark Clayton to go up against the Republican incumbent in the Senate race. ?The only option we are taking off the table in this situation,? he said, ?is supporting Mark Clayton.? (Read More)
Would Bill Clinton have ever gotten the nomination in this environment?
The thing that bothers me most about this is that a Republican?congressman (or RINO, if you prefer) just announced that he?ll be quitting because of a lack of bipartisanship. He blamed the GOP, who regularly embrace RINOs, and rarely have an unkind word to say about the Democrats. So only the Republicans are supposed to abandon their principles while the Democrats get more radical by the minute. It?s mind blowing.
Your Editor is unsurprised. But why the Democrats would want to waste time and money to disqualify a primary election winner, when the re-election of Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) is about as certain as anything can be in a free and open election, is beyond me. It?s almost as though the Democrats in the Volunteer State don?t really care what the voters want.
