Sara's House: Homeade Cinnamon Roll Oatmeal

I have been an oatmeal lover since I was a child, but many are not. Whether you are an oatmeal lover or hater, I suggest you try this. It tastes exactly like a cinnamon roll. You will love it and your family will love it. This is such a warm, hearty breakfast and perfect for a crisp fall morning. It has the right amount of sweetness and the creaminess of the cream cheese icing is amazing. The only thing left to say is TRY IT!

Homeade Cinnamon Roll Oatmeal
recipe adapted from the Cooking Classy Blog

In a large microwave safe bowl mix together the oats, water, milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, honey and salt. Place in the microwave and cook for 3 1/2 minutes then remove. Add the butter in and stir. Let sit for ?about 10 minutes. Meanwhile make the icing by combining the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk. whisk it with a fork. After this drizzle the icing over the oatmeal and serve.?
