Police seek alleged robber of Stark Federal Credit Union

Police need your help in finding the man who robbed the Stark Federal Credit Union at gunpoint about a week ago.

Detective Terry Monter said security camera images show the robber put on a red stocking cap and dark sunglasses just before entering the facility at 3426 Cleveland Ave. NW on Aug. 11.

The man, described as white, about 6 feet tall and weighing 220 pounds., was wearing a black shirt and black jogging-style pants with white stripes down the side. He has dark hair and is approximately 30 years old.

Monter said the man, who robbed the financial institution just before noon, showed a gun before getting away with an undisclosed amount of money.

He is believed to have left the scene in a dark, possibly four-door car heading east on 35th Street.

Police are asking anyone with information or any area residents who may have security camera video or pictures to call Monter at 330-438-4418.
